220,000 square feet of meeting and conference space is now ready for visitors to Branson. The new facility which was five years in planning and two years of construction officially opened the doors on September 7.
Many meetings, conferences, and trade shows are already booked. 200 plus days in the next 18 months are scheduled with an activity in the convention center. It’s a range of activities including shows open to the public and private meetings.
The facility includes 50,000 square feet of exhibition space plus 23,000 square feet of ballroom space plus numerous breakout rooms. The Hilton Corporation is managing the convention facility under an agreement with the City of Branson. Adjacent to the convention center is a 293 Hilton Hotel. For the larger conventions, other upscale hotels including the Radisson Hotel and the Chateau on the Lake are working with the Hilton and the Branson Convention & Visitors Bureau.
